Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £45,000 per annum + Company Car + Remote Working

Location: Shepshed, Leicestershire

Start Date: As soon as possible

Company: The company are the 3rd biggest 'surfacing contractor' in the UK behind Tarmac and Aggregate Industries. They manufacture their unique Asphalt product and take on a variety of infrastructure projects UK wide across highways, Airports and Rail. Their contracting division exceeded targets during 2020 in the peak of the Covid pandemic, laying 270,000 tonnes of asphalt vs a target of 200,000! The Contracting division turns over £35million per annum and is experiencing year on year growth. They are split into 3 regions; North, Central and South with this role sitting in their Central region offices based out of Shepshed, Leicestershire.

Role Description: Reporting into the regional Managing Quantity Surveyor, this Quantity Surveyor role will be responsible for overseeing a handful of different high volume, low value schemes (NEC) valued up to £1million each. Whilst you will be reporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will have ownership over the schemes and will have responsibility over managing your schedule meaning you can visit the sites as frequently as you like. Aside from site visits and measurements, you will also be responsible for subcontract management, completing monthly CVRs and month end accounting.

Remuneration: In exchange for your hard work and dedication, you will be remunerated with a competitive annual salary of up to £45,000 (based on experience) along with a company car. Additionally, you will receive 27 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays and will get the opportunity to work from home along with funding and support for any memberships or charterships.

Required Experience: To be considered for the position you will need to have a proven background operating at Quantity Surveyor level on highways or road schemes and be familiar with NEC forms of contract. Whilst this role is Midlands based, there will be travel to sites so it is essential that you have a full UK drivers licence.
