Woodbridge School has an opportunity for a Boarding House Matron to join our team based in Woodbridge. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis working 25 hours per week, 34 weeks per year and in return,you will receive a competitive salary of circa £19,000 per annum, pro-rata, dependent on skills and experience. We would like the ideal candidate to start as soon as possible.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Boarding House Matron to join the pastoral team as Woodbridge School's Boarding House. This is a mainly term time position and is non-residential.

The role of our Boarding House Matron is one of trust and responsibility and therefore plays a key part in ensuring the wellbeing of the pupils residing in the boarding house. You will have a special role in assisting the wider boarding house team to create a happy, respectful and caring atmosphere in the house, and will also work collaboratively with the Housekeeper and School Medical team to ensure continuity of pupil health and welfare.

What we are looking for in our Boarding House Matron:

We are looking for someone who has a clear understanding of the pastoral care provision as well as having a flexible, resilient and empathetic approach, coupled with a caring and cheerful disposition. First Aid training will be provided if necessary.

Qualifications and/or experience in childcare, training in nursing or in a health and social care setting would also be an advantage.
