TITLE OF POST: Business Development and Productivity Manager
LOCATION: St Mary's Hospital

Aim of the role:

The aim of this role is to primarily support the development, analysis and reporting of the Surgery Cancer and Cardiovascular Divisional productivity and efficiency programme. It also provides an opportunity to help provide exciting new analysis and insights to support the Division's strategic and operational business development opportunities.

It is expected that the post holder will be able to work independently within their area of responsibility, developing excellent relationships with stakeholders (both clinical and non-clinical) internally and externally and deliver improvement within the framework of the highest clinical, customer service and business standards.

Key result areas: Primary priority areas

• Analysing and concise reporting of financial, non-financial, productivity data & research

• Drawing key findings and trends from information from multiple stakeholders/sources

• Developing evidence based conclusions and recommendations

• Project support of divisional work

• Reporting and analysis of cost improvement plans

• Supporting stakeholder engagement and management plans

Person Specification:

EDUCATION: Degree level qualification or equivalent training and/or experience;

SKILLS:
  • Understanding of the productivity and strategic challenges facing the NHS
  • Experience in project and programme planning
  • Able to identify areas for improvement and implement processes as appropriate
  • Desirable: Experience in financial, economic, research, consulting and/or policy analysis within the NHS or other healthcare systems.
