Age UK Nottingham have an exciting opportunity for a Special Support Worker to join the team.
Location: Sybil Levin Health & Wellbeing Centre, Nuthall Road, Nottingham
Salary: £9.50 per hour AUNN Band A (£18,278 per annum, FTE)
Hours: 25 hours per week, (part time), over 3 days
Job Type: Permanent
The Sybil Levin Day Service is a specialist SPECAL-Led day service supporting people with dementia and their carers using the SPECAL method, run by Age UK Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Special Support Worker - The Role:
You will be part of a small team providing a range of support including responding to personal care needs, supporting people to engage in activities and providing an escort service on our mini bus.
Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and listening skills, with an open, sensitive and compassionate approach. Good organisational and communication skills are essential, as well as a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a busy team.
This role would suit someone able to use their initiative and think creatively, in order to ensure that our service meets the needs of its users in a welcoming and vibrant environment.
