Are you an experienced teacher with a passion for making a difference with children who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties to re-engage with learning?

You do not need to have worked as a SEMH Teacher before, but have a sympathetic approach towards these students and an understanding of the type of work required in an Alternative Provision.

An Outstanding SEMH Alternative Provision based in Clacton are seeking a Permanent or Temporary SEMH Class Teacher to work alongside either Key Stage 3 or 4 students. You can be from any subject background but have a desire to work with SEMH pupils.

As the Class Teacher you will be responsible for developing and delivering an inspiring and engaging curriculum tailored to your students. You will also be committed to the school ethos of ensuring that the students are prepared for a life after education.

You will be part of a strong and supportive team which is committed to providing a safe and inclusive learning environment where everyone is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Have Qualified Teacher Status or the Relevant Experience as an Instructor
Be committed to facilitating progress and growth though the building and modelling of positive and supportive relationships
The desire to be engaged in all aspects of school life from the academic to the pastoral
Be willing to teach BTec, Function Skills and other AP Courses
