Job Details

Engineering Teacher
Up to £36,000 p/a
Full-time, permanent

We are working with an education provider in the Oxfordshire area who are looking for an Engineering Teacher to join their team on a full-time and permanent basis.

The role will involve teaching modules on the education provider's BTEC Extended Diploma and KS4 courses at their main centre in Oxfordshire. Most of the teaching would be on the BTEC Extended Diploma programme (including modules such as Mechanical Principles, Engineering Maths and Materials), but there would also be 4 hours per week of KS4 Engineering teaching on your timetable.

The learners would be between the age of 14 and 19, and class sizes would be 22 people or less. 60% of the teaching would take place in the classroom, and 40% of the teaching would take place in their new engineering workshop, which is equipped with up-to-date machinery.

The starting salary for this position is up to £36,000 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience), which would also include a teacher's pension, and 55 days of paid holiday (including Bank Holidays).

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A level 3 engineering qualification (or higher)
-Experience of working in an engineering workshop
-Some previous experience of teaching

The education provider would ideally like candidates to have teaching qualifications already, but if you don't have one yet, they would be willing and able to put you through (and pay for) one on the job if you were successful in getting the role.

I am looking to set up interviews as soon as possible, so if you are interested and available for interview, please reply with your CV and daytime contact number and I'll get back to you, or you can always call me on (phone number removed).

Please feel free to pass on my details if you know someone who might be interested.
