Our public sector client are recruiting for a Business Delivery Manager on a temporary basis. The position is based in Edinburgh but given the current restrictions, colleagues are currently working from home. This is a full time post working Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with a competitive rate depending on experience.

Due to the nature of this role, successful applicants will require a Basic Disclosure certificate issued withing last 12 months.

For decades, many children in Scotland were failed by the institutions entrusted to look after them. 'Redress', for example financial payment and therapeutic support, is an important way of recognising the harm done to survivors of historical child abuse. The programme looks to those responsible for the care of children in the past to play their part, including by making financial contributions to the scheme.

As a Business Delivery Manager you will engage with design, implementation and policy teams to lead the scoping and delivery of business requirements and processes that will be required for the provider contributions team.

Roles and Responsibilities
Facilitate engagement between the Contributions policy team and the Design and Implementation teams.
Ensure that policy is adequately reflected in system design and developing operational contexts.
Ensure that contracts and associated materials realistically reflect the emerging operational contexts.
Act as advisor to the Contributions team on financial processes (payment receipt and reconciliation) both existing and developing for the effective functioning of the Redress Scheme.
Develop guidance for internal colleagues and external potential contributors on the operation of financial processes relative to the scheme and how they support and deliver policy intentions.
Essential Criteria

Well-developed interpersonal skills with experience of developing positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to navigate competing priorities to meet deadlines.
Experience of responding creatively to complex challenges with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide updates on progress towards milestones.
Desirable Criteria

Previous experience in a project/programme environment.
Financial experience - payment receipt and reconciliation activities.
