As an Industrial Engineer you will have the opportunity to use and develop your process optimisation skills in various production phases for state of the art radar technology; creating world leading highly capable integrated sensor systems for Future Air and Surveillance Programmes.

Fundamental to this role is providing support to the Integrated Product Teams (IPT) / Operations to ensure Lean Manufacturing principles are followed, best practice applied and/or risks identified and captured with associated mitigation plans defined.
Support Continuous Improvement, challenging current Manufacturing performance to identify opportunities to improve manufacturability and eliminate waste.
Gather and analyse data to propose / drive continuous improvement initiatives and/or focused corrective action plans.
Providing evidence of Process Capability through measured demonstrated performance and adherence to KPI Targets.
The definition of Manufacturing Processes / Control Plans to minimise variation and maximise repeatability.
Proven relevant technical proficiency, through either qualification (HND/Degree), or equivalent experience and knowledge.
Expert problem solving skills, with knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
A high level of proficiency with data analysis software such as Minitab, Excel or similar.
A basic knowledge of Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing principles, and a willingness to become an expert in them.
Experience applying Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing techniques effectively would be advantageous.
Experience in the definition of Manufacturing Processes / Control Plans to minimise variation and maximise repeatability would be advantageous.
The ability to communicate and influence across relevant levels of the company.
Interact effectively with internal customers and suppliers through the consolidation and preparation of material covering the analysis and the assessment of work completed.
Manage workload efficiently to achieve targets, controlling financial expenditure and delivery of work packages to budget
