Location: BH2 6DY, Bournemouth
Hours: (Apply online only) (37 hours per week M-F)
Pay: £28.50 (PAYE) or £35.48 (PAYE Umbrella)
Working for BCP Council the idea candidate will have extensive local government experience as they will be working in a very technical capacity.
You will manage the financial performance of specified services and the Council as a whole, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities include; lead on financial aspects for services; provide complex, expert advice that is evidence based in accordance with regulations and policies; manage and monitor service budgets; proactively identify and develop the financial service by interpreting legislative requirements and developing processes that allow for national and local changes as well as developing staff and financial modelling for services and projects; completion of the statutory accounts, setting a balanced budget and ensuring financial control and reporting is maintained and developed.
You will hold a recognised professional Accountancy qualification and previous experience in a political environment along with experience of leading within a multi disciplinary organisation. You will have full membership to CCAB or equivalent. Full UK driving licence essential.
