An innovative software company based in Huddersfield are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting worldwide systems, software installations and hardware support. This is a very hands-on and technical position, also including troubleshooting technical issues, training users on operating their products/systems and setting up computer equipment.
The position is primarily an office-based position initially with scope for some flexible home-working in the future.
Skills and Experience:
Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
Knowledge of Scripting.
Networking protocols - Routing, Switching and Firewalls.
Strong troubleshooting abilities and the ability to explain technical terms to non-technical users.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Enthusiasm and the desire to develop existing skills.
