Principal QA Engineer (Gaming)

£50,000

Cambridge

*Long term remote working available post-COVID*

Tec Partners are working with a globally award winning, mobile games development company. They have grown rapidly in recent years, producing some of the most ground breaking mobile games for the last 2 years. As such, they are looking to add a Principal QA Engineer to their established team of Test Engineers to help lead the next generation of development within their business.

As a Principal QA Engineer, you will need to have had commercial experience of leading a team within a testing environment, ideally within the Gaming industry. This role will allow the Principal QA Engineer to have influence and mentorship over the QA teams engineering, architecture and quality consulting. They will help to drive the QA tools and automation frameworks.

What you will be doing:

Leader/Mentor the Functional Testing area of their QA Teams
Work with other Principal QA Engineers to develop and maintain QA best practices
Develop training plans for your team
Hands-on testing of technical game systems
Work with production and product leaders to assess development practises which impact QA
Work on Compliance, Performance, Load, and External SDKs.
Monitor the deliverables of outsourced teams and track task completion

Skills you will need for this role:

A background in Leadership, ideally within the Gaming industry
Strong experience in JIRA, including JQL queries, gadgets and dashboard creation
A background in client-side testing
Understanding and experience of working within an Agile environment
