Role: Senior Project Definition Engineer
Location: Reading with potential for home based
Rate: £400 - £450 per day
Duration: 12 months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

My client is looking for a Senior Project Definition Engineer to join their team working on projects for Thames Water.
The role will involve the management of Multi-Disciplinary Project Definition Teams and the delivery of Project Briefs outputs to time, cost and quality. Co-ordination of the Delivery Partner's Project Briefs outputs to meet Thames Water Governance stages.

Responsibilities include:
·Production of tender documentation for a portfolio of projects.
·Engagement of internal and external stakeholders at all levels in order to drive forward project delivery.
·Ensure that study work and definition outputs are developed and delivered to a high quality within agreed timescales and budgets.
·Plan the delivery of studies and accurately estimate the resource input, cost and time requirements.
·Produce high-level designs and scope information to enable solutions to be valued.
·Performance management of work undertaken by external consultants.
·Support the development of Health and Safety culture within the project team.
·Maintain awareness of developments in own discipline and approaches to design and construction.
·Share knowledge and experience with less experienced engineers, as well as providing local technical support.
