Job Details

11 women die every day from ovarian cancer and survival rates in the UK are among the worst in Europe. Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. Join us to raise awareness, fund research and save lives.

We are the authority on ovarian cancer. We work with women, family members and health professionals to ensure we target the areas that matter most for those living and working with ovarian cancer.

Together with the ovarian cancer community, we are transforming the future for women in the UK who are living with ovarian cancer and thousands more who are yet to be diagnosed. But there is so much more to do. We will not stop until we have achieved our goal of doubling survival from ovarian cancer by 2050.

This is a newly created role for a professional with strong accounting skills, preferably with charity finance experience, to join a rapidly growing charity. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Corporate Services, you will lead a small team to provide a high-quality finance service to support our drive for growth. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to be part of our transformational journey.

We are an ambitious charity, building on our achievements and working to transform the lives of women with ovarian cancer. We are also investing in our future. This is an exciting time to be joining Target Ovarian Cancer as we continue to grow as an organisation. Join us to raise awareness, fund research and save lives.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. We are currently all working from home and will continue to offer agile working in the future as restrictions ease. We offer 25 days annual leave, rising to 30 days with service and an auto-enrolment pension with 5% employer contribution.

The role will cover the main day-to-day financial activities: the production of timely and accurate management information, the production of our statutory accounts and supporting the annual audit process, banking and cashflow management, overseeing our outsourced payroll and pensions, and ensuring adherence to our financial control systems.

Please submit your application by midday Thursday 5 August, sending a CV and cover letter with the job in the subject line to Alex Horsup, Director of Finance & Corporate Services. Please also complete and return the equalities monitoring form.

Interviews will be by video call until further notice.

We want to make our recruitment accessible to all, if there is a way we can support you in your application, please contact us with the job in the subject line.
