Role: Finance Officer
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Location: Advance Head Office in Hammersmith
Hours: 35 hours per week

Established in 1998, Advance is an award-winning innovative non-profit organisation supporting women and girls experiencing domestic abuse and those women in contact with the criminal justice system, enabling them to live safe, violence-free and equal lives. We are at the forefront of developing whole systems change services, establishing the first teams working within statutory settings such as justice and health services, to reach women and girls.
We are a passionate and dedicated team who believe in empathy, empowerment, collaboration and innovation and accountability. These qualities characterise our work with women and girls experiencing trauma, reaching over 7,000 women and their children each year. The organisation has recently expanded its services across England, with annual income of £6m and 125 staff.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a passion for the women's sector to join our team during a period of exponential growth for the organisation. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining all the transaction processing and reporting to the point of trial balance, utilising QuickBooks. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and banking.
What you will bring
The successful candidate will have a solid financial foundation along with an eye for innovation and the ability to aid process improvement. You will be able to work well as part of a growing team whilst also owning your own tasks. QuickBooks experience will be highly regarded.
In short you will have:
Experience of producing reconciliations (e.g., Balance sheet, cash flow, petty cash)
Proficiency in the use of Finance systems (QuickBooks desirable)
Strong Excel skills and good familiarity with all Microsoft Office programmes
High standards with attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
