Trainee Web DeveloperWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Web Developer to support the IT Team in the development and delivery of on-line products and services for an award winning national charity.Position: Trainee Web DeveloperLocation: HuddersfieldHours: Full time, 37 hours/weekSalary: circa £18,000 per annumDuration: Permanent Benefits: Include 25 days' holiday, rising to 29 after service increments plus 8 bank holiday, Personal Pension Scheme, Healthcare Cash Plan, Employee Assistance Programme, Staff Awards Scheme, Company Sick Pay Scheme, flexible working patterns The Role:As Trainee Web Developer you will supports the IT Team and have a sound understanding of the charity's IT systems, the core activity of this post is to maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) and training systems, and to create, develop and build eLearning courses and content. The post holder is also required to work closely within the IT Team to manage, maintain and support the IT systems and website.Responsibilities include:Create and maintain high quality eLearning courses and content using a range of available softwareAssist in suggesting creative ideas for the design of on line course materialEvaluate eLearning customer feedback and use to inform future design and developmentAdminister Learning Management System (LMS) including maintaining user dataProblem resolution, acting as first line support for LMS issues and Live Virtual Classroom (LVC) training course delegatesWork as an integral member of the IT Team and provide support and cover to other Team members as requiredProvide support to administer and further develop the current external website platformsWork with the IT Technical Lead and Systems Manager to develop and manage key projects and servicesAbout You As Trainee Web Developer it is essential that you have an understanding of IT systems in the workplace and be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of internet technologies and systems, e-learning packages and of all MS Office packages.Although not essential experience of the following would be highly beneficial:College qualification in an IT Systems related subjectWeb design (HTML, CSS)Web development (PHP)Experience with MoodleVideo editing (PowerDirector)Database and admin experienceExperience of CaptivateExperience of design and development of e-learning courses and contentTo apply you will be asked to submit your CV along with a covering letter detailing how your skills, knowledge and experience meet the requirements of the role.
