Street Child, a rapidly growing international children's charity, are searching for an exceptional professional to lead our corporate fundraising. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead a space which is already incredibly important to the charity but where we are fortunate to possess particular, exciting potential for substantial growth. Our award-winning, multi-layered, 7-figure relationship with Liberty Global plc sits at the heart of this unique opportunity.
We are searching for a hands-on fundraising leader with the imagination, energy, personality, ambition and passion to help us make the most of these great possibilities!
There are three main dimensions to this role:
Playing a major 'hands-on' fundraising role in maximising our largest opportunities, both with Liberty Global and beyond;
Leading, supporting and managing the development of a growing team of excellent corporate fundraisers. Defining, and executing, Street Child's corporate fundraising strategy;
Playing an active and real leadership role across the whole of group fundraising, as a key member of the charity's 5-strong international Fundraising Leadership Team (FLT), reporting to the CEO. FLT colleagues include leaders responsible for trusts/foundations, public fundraising, marketing/communications & European fundraising. Constant team-working, a rejection of siloes, a recognition of massive overlaps and synergies between different aspects of fundraising and a 'shared ownership' of the charity's biggest opportunities and challenges are fundamental to our approach at Street Child - excellent relationships among FLT are key!
As leader of Street Child's global corporate fundraising, you will be charged with delivering great results in these areas:
The direct opportunity with Liberty Global and its subsidiaries;
The wider opportunity with Liberty Global's corporate network (banks, consultancies, law-firms, tech, media etc) who LG have a strong track-record of encouraging to support Street Child*, hitherto in particular through the flag-ship annual gala and 2-day bike ride events;
High-level ownership of the corporate gala and Big Ride events - and a mandate to imagine, co-create and bring to life further events that will advance Street Child's corporate proposition;
Development of Street Child's wider UK corporate opportunity - building on our existing corporate track-record, and the narrative of a 'fast-growing, demonstrably impactful charity, focussed on an area of massive, undeniable need' to win and build the broadest possible range of great new corporate partnerships for Street Child;
Supporting EU colleagues in the development of European corporate fundraising opportunities;
Exploring, and actively pursuing, great corporate opportunities for Street Child beyond UK and EU - e.g. USA, Middle East
Opportunities for partnerships with corporates based, or with interests, in Street Child's African and Asian programme countries.
Managing a range of major donor relationships, especially those corporate dimensions - in partnership with FLT colleagues.
The skills, experience and attitude we are after:
Almost certainly you have an impressive track-record in corporate fundraising; but just possibly you are an exceptional candidate who has achieved great things in another dimension of fundraising; or are coming from a superb corporate background;
We need someone who is excited to both roll their sleeves up; and work strategically. Our house leadership-style is 'leading by doing';
You demonstrably have what it takes to lead a high-performing, happy, passionate team - either because you can demonstrate prior success in this area; or you can show that you have what it takes to lead;
You work brilliantly with colleagues. You aren't territorial. You are motivated by the bigger-picture. You spot and can exploit synergies. Street Child is a 'no siloes' domain!

This position is imagined as a full-time role, predominantly based out of our new Central London office - but we are open to variations, especially for compelling candidates. Starting salary will reflect experience. Success will absolutely be recognised with salary progression, regardless of starting salary point.
Street Child began its life in 2008 with a single-project for 100 street-connected children in Sierra Leone. We have grown every day since. In 2021 we want to make a difference for 500,000 children in up to 20 countries - and impact a million children by 2024. Success in this role is critical to our ability to achieve these goals.
