Your new company
A leading and fast-growing Financial Services business based in West Oxfordshire is actively seeking an experienced commercially driven accountant to join their fast-paced FP&A team, that aims to provide the Senior Leadership Team with enhanced financial information to support business decisions and strategy. The role will report into the Head of FP&A and will work alongside a group of hungry and dynamic commercial accountants.
Your new role
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for business partnering with various functions across the business with varying levels of stakeholders. Furthermore, you will provide financial analysis, monthly performance trends analysis, alongside providing narrative on commercial drivers and identify best practice throughout finance and the wider company. Additional aspects of the role will include budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, as well as financial modelling on business cases, when required. You will be expected to lead various finance systems projects alongside your regular reporting responsibilities. On a final note, continuous improvement on both systems and finance process will be integral to the role, with the addition of ad hoc reporting upon request from various senior stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will need to be ACA/CIMA/ACCA Finalist or Qualified with prior commercial accounting experience, with exposure to business partnering and handling both financial as well as non-financial data. You will be highly competent in Excel and ideally possess knowledge of wider BI tools, such as Tableau. Furthermore, you will demonstrate strong initiative and a proactive approach to tacking tasks and wider problem-solving, whilst also communication effectively and always looking to collaborate with relevant stakeholders. Building and maintaining strong relationships throughout the business will be key to your success. Previous Financial Services industry experience would be advantageous.
