Commissioning Engineer - EC&I
Contract - Estimated Duration of 12 months +
We are currently looking for Commissioning Engineers with an EC&I Engineering bias to support the BEP project on-site at Sellafield.
Do you have demonstrable Nuclear CE&I systems commissioning experience?
Are you time served in an engineering discipline e.g. Electrical or Instrumentation discipline?
Do you have experience within the nuclear sector, or other highly regulated industries?

The Commissioning Engineer reporting to the Commissioning Team Leader, carries out a role to undertake delivery of assigned commissioning tasks in a safe and effective manner, in line with commissioning process requirements.
This role is specific to candidates with experience in nuclear in-cell handler testing
The Commissioning Engineer is responsible for:
Execution of the arrangements for controlling, witnessing, recording and assessing the results of commissioning tests which may affect safety.
Delivering the commissioning work scope to an agreed strategy and plan in a timely and cost-effective manner
Ensuring a proactive and balanced approach to safety (nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental) to ensure that safety is optimised during commissioning
Reviewing commissioning progress and performance and taking appropriate corrective actions where necessary
Managing day to day liaison with personnel to obtain any necessary permissions and minimize impact to the project
Review of commissioning test results
Ensuring input to other project processes are incorporated, for example, design, HAZOP, risk, contract, estimating and knowledge management
