About the role:
As a Labour & Expenses Analyst your key areas include Store Labour, Travel Expense & Retail Reporting.
Labour - working with the concessions stores labour budget across all EU Concession Partners. The purpose of this role will be to gather and process expense data from a number of sources to provide an accurate reporting system, from which we will be able to forecast accurately and ensure compliance across the field teams. Field Teams include Outsourced merchandisers, In House merchandisers and Buddies from the brick & mortar team.
Travel Expense - working with field, finance and Hr teams to generate periodic reports on travel expenditure with analysis into travel patterns and opportunities to reduce costs.
Retail reporting/support - delivering support to the retail teams for regular and ad-hoc reporting and any other requirements.
Collecting data from all three labour models and keeping all store labour based models updated with the latest financial results.
Reporting key findings/observations to the Line Manager and wider team
Analyse data to look for patterns of over / under spend, escalating compliance concerns as needed and challenging the field in regards to the use of store hours
Take ownership for the day to day management of the labour scheduling system, ensuring queries are dealt with a timely manner and any changes are accurately reflected and communicated
Responsible for developing a month end process including the preparation of month end outturn, variance analysis and KPI reporting. This will be used in MBRs and QBRs
Collate and circulate all standard weekly reports to colleagues across the business
Liaise with the all relevant teams (finance, HR, Field) and resolve queries in a timely manner.
Assist with the production of ad-hoc information and analysis and involvement in project work as requiredAbout you:
A financially / numerically minded individual with excellent Microsoft excel skills essential. VBA modelling skills, and SQL databases knowledge/experience desirable
Experienced in managing large volumes of data and capable of quickly and accurately summarising information into a format from which meaningful conclusions and options can be drawn
Demonstrates strong organisational skills and experienced in balancing various projects at once
Ability to work quickly and accurately to weekly deadlines and support the wider team with ad hoc analysis as required
Ability to work alongside a wide range of business functions including finance, operations, HR and IT and confident communicating with a wide range of different people, including senior members of the business
Attention to Detail - produces work that is accurate, thorough, and on time
Analysis Issues - Uses relevant data and information in a clear and coherent manner to assess and understand issues, evaluate options, form accurate conclusions and recommend decisions
Communication skills - excellent telephone and email manner. Able to communicate with a range of different people, including senior members of the business
Organisational Skills - including the use of folders & retrieval from diverse folders on the IT system, time management, prioritisation skills
