Due to the current business demands our client are in a position to recruit a suitably experienced Project Engineer to be based in Chesterfield.
The Role of Project Engineer:
Process and manage customer projects, from receipt of purchase order through to final installation, including close liaison with Head Office project and technical teams abroad.
Provision of technical support to the sales team relating to customer enquiries, quotations or orders.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, who is responsible for technical and project management of customer orders, from receipt of PO to completion.
Brief Description of Duties:
Management of projects for standard products and customised solutions, from receipt of order through to final installation.
Provision of comprehensive technical information to Head Office teams for complex solutions where full design and manufacturing is undertaken in Italy.
Concept and detailed design of simple tooling solutions that are undertaken in the UK Office.
Provide technical support for the preparation of quotations, based on information provided by the customer and the external sales team. Proposals are prepared using standard costing models and quotation templates which are customised for the specific application.
Liaising with customers (both directly and via the external sales team) during project implementation.
Experience and Qualifications:
Organisation of multiple projects as well as taking a leading role in them.
The ability to read, create and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Operating knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical and Autodesk Inventor is desirable, or the ability to convert quickly to these programs
The ability to read basic Electrical & Pneumatic diagrams is desirable.
Mechanical, Pneumatic and Electrical knowledge relative to the machines and tooling supplied by the Company

Flexibility as this job requires you to travel and possibly work additional or varied hours depending on the job at hand, this may include overnight stays.
Be able to work efficiently and complete work on time
It would be desirable to have basic hands-on practical skills

Hours - Standard Monday to Friday - 8.30am - 5.00pm
