Job Title: Studio Technician

Salary: To be determined based on experience and knowledge

Responsible to: Studio Technical Producer

Purpose of the Role: To work as part of the Technical Studio Team, ensuring the effective management, maintenance and development of the studio IT and audio visual systems are in line with the businesses innovation roadmap. In addition to the core activities, the role will contribute to and shape the development of future systems to deliver the innovation milestones within this cutting edge immersive innovation facility.

Experience of working in a studio/facility role using IoT Systems

*

Experience of working with Media technology systems and workflows

Duties and Responsibilities - Specific

*

To maintain the secure operation and stability of Prox & Reverie's studio computer systems, servers and network connectivity.

*

To support the studio's XR production pipeline by delivering best-practice data management and software configuration.

*

To set up and maintain AudioVisual systems across studio spaces (including conferencing technology, projectors, sound systems, camera setups and the necessary infrastructure hardware).

*

To set up, configure and operate VR/MR systems for internal R&D, showcase installations and client hire as required.

*

To oversee and maintain a safe and organised equipment store and workshop with the support of and alongside other members of the team.

*

To assist in the research and design of a range of technical installation solutions to support Prox & Reverie's internal R&D projects and bespoke setups for visiting clients.

*

To be responsible for all technical maintenance and safe operation of equipment used throughout the studio.

*

To support the production team and workflow by producing clear and accurate procedural/technical and operational documentation.

*

To contribute to innovation development across the studio by participating in a range of research activities as required and remaining open to learning new technologies and practices in the XR industry.

*

To assist in the set-up and facilitation of on and off site demo events and presentations where required.

Duties and Responsibilities - Generic

To ensure safe working practices are used to carry out all duties in a controlled manner, observing any and all relevant health and safety policies, procedures and risk assessments at all times.

To ensure accurate records are completed, stored and archived to ensure compliance and audit requirements are adhered to.

*

To work as part of the wider team in order to ensure high quality customer service.

*

To be flexible in working days and hours to meet the business needs.

To contribute positively to the delivery of the wider business plan

*

To proactively undertake all mandatory and job specific training as required and to take ownership of personal development within the role. Identifying any personal training needs and to be prepared to develop additional skills and update these in accordance with legislation as required.

To participate proactively in the probation, appraisal and staff development processes.

To undertake any other reasonable and appropriate duties in keeping with your role and the effective delivery of the wider business

To work positively and supportively with any individuals on an Internship or work placement programme within the business
