Salary - Industry Competitive DOE

4 Days per Week Monday - Thursday 07.15 - 17.00 + O/T Friday

Grafton Recruitment are proud to be working with an expansive, industry-leading client to find a flexible and committed Brake Press Programmer Setter Operator, to join their team to program set and operate their AMADA press brake's working in a modern shop floor environment to be an integral part of the team and contribute to the growth and future of the business.

Job Summary

Responsible for setting and operating cnc press brake machine. Fits and fabricates structural steel, completes layout, and inspects finished product.

Primary Responsibilities

Program Set and Operate press break machine utilising Radan software.
Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
Use a CNC controller to enter programs into machine.
Adjust ram and back gauge locations per process control instructions and blueprints.
Checks height, depth and thickness using micrometres, dial indicators, callipers, gauges and other precision-measuring instruments.
Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake.
Work with tight tolerances.
Produce parts for assembly operations.
Meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
Program the CNC to produce new parts meeting specifications.
Perform spot inspections of parts.
Perform all required routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures.
Complete and maintain paperwork.
Identify assembly parts.
Set up light gauge metal.
Configure bend allowances for sheet metal (stainless, aluminium & regular steel).
Check machine for defects and repair if necessary.
Ensure machine is calibrated and cleaned.
