Position: Engineering Systems Manager
Salary: Up to £80,000
Office Location: Thame
Location: Fully Remote Working
KO2 are now partnering with a large, innovative business who design, develop and manufacture industry leading products across a variety of industry sectors. They are now looking for an Engineering Systems Manager to join their team, although the business in based in Thame they are happy for this role to be fully remote. This role will involve frequent travel around the UK and internationally so flexibility to travel and an active passport is required.
The successful Engineering Systems Manager can expect their role to be focused on effectively managing PLM/CAD/CPQ systems and strategy including innovations, BAU maintenance and system performance. You will be managing a global team and be expected to build strong relationships, bring in improvements and lead the business in adopting new processes.
The successful candidate can expect their responsibilities to include:
Champion the use of integrated digital CPQ, CAD and PLM systems .
Build and maintain an enterprise strategy and architecture for all systems and services managed, working closely with senior management and engineers to define a coherent strategic direction.
Manage projects through structured project management procedures ensuring thorough planning, communication, testing and training.
Lead a multi-disciplinary team, comprising of permanent employees, contractors and managed service providers, to ensure cohesion between systems, collaboration and delivery of critical business services, alongside empowering and developing individual career progression.
Effectively manage suppliers, ensuring best value services through activities such as license optimisation.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of CAD/PLM/CPQ solutions and ways of working to ensure best practice within the Group, striving for simplicity over complexity when delivering changes to services and alignment to corporate strategies and product roadmaps
Deliver continual, tangible and measurable benefits in terms of improving the current CAD/PLM/CPQ service and operation and ensuring CAD/PLM/CPQ services are delivered consistently and in line with agreed metrics.
Experience leading high performing teams in a complex environment.
Experience managing suppliers (sourcing, onboarding, delivery, transition).
Experience in personal and team development which empowers and harnesses cohesion.
Experience in service delivery (ideally with awareness of the complete ITIL lifecycle).
Experience in fiscal governance and creating business justifications.
Ability to communicate at all levels and provide information to a diverse stakeholder group.Desirable Skills:
Experience in Teamcenter, NX, Tacton Configurator.
Project / programme management experience.
Discrete Manufacturing Industry experience, desirably working with Design, Engineering and IT.
