Junior Mechanical Assembler

I am looking for an experienced Production Technician / Mechanical Assembler The overview of activities is below

Sandblasting parts

Mechanical Assembly work - basic

Ability to read drawings

Company design and manufacture hi end precision instruments.

Good attitude, Good verbal and written English, some computer skills with maybe a year's experience+

But with a big part of the role is sandblasting it does require someone who is continues to keep a positive attitude, and shows flexibility to jump onto whatever job is required in the production area.

Junior Mechanical Assembler Role

Prepare and sandblast machined parts, assemble mechanical parts, using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications within a manufacturing organisation. Assist with plating, polishing, and brazing in the Foundry area, with a can-do and flexible attitude needed.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Wash and screw machined parts in preparation for sandblasting

Sandblast parts to required quality standard

Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

Utilize hand held tools as required

Perform soldering for specific tasks (training provided).

Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards

Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified

Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Perform plating, polishing and brazing in Foundry area

Mechanical Assembly of production parts

Adhoc tasks as required

Qualification requirements

* Basic reading & writing skills. Must be able to follow directions

* Basic computer navigation and utilisation skills

* Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

* Mechanical Engineering background

* Good organisation skills

* Basic Maths skills

Physical demands and abilities

* A good eye for detail and good manual dexterity

* Dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately

* Ability to perform basic computer tasks

* Hard working

* Flexible attitude to tasks

* Willingness to learn new tasks
