Becoming an Information Governance & Data Protection Specialist with Smart DCC:

Fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 months contract as an Information Governance & Data Protection Specialist. The Information Governance & Data Protection Specialist will play an important part in supporting data protection and information governance compliance company wide.

As the Information Governance & Data Protection Specialist you will be responsible for contributing to the development and implementation of key Information Management Framework products and artefacts

What you'll be doing:

· Policy and process build for key data protection compliance artefacts

· Oversight of IAR and supporting artefacts

· Roadmap to support Information Governance framework for Smart DCC

· Drafting and development of appropriate policies

· Working with stakeholders to develop awareness raising and training framework to support information governance compliance across the organisation

· Provide appropriate monitoring, metrics and management information to managers

What we're looking for:

Must show a strong background in Data Protection or Information Governance roles
Knowledge and practical application of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA)
Strong experience in document development (Policies, Standards, Procedures, Guidelines)
Extensive experience setting up and managing privacy frameworks, privacy accountability and compliance records
Excellent experience of the practical application of data protection legislation in a corporate setting, ideally in a data-driven environment including demonstrable experience of developing systems and processes to deliver information governance and data protection compliance
Experience of collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to build holistic solutions to complex information problems
Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders to develop policy, process and toolkits
