A highly-professionalised Financial Services company, with expertise in multiple areas, have approached the Network Professional team in their search for a Finance Business Partner - Senior Manager. This role can be worked from either their Southampton or London-based office, with flexibility between the two if preferred. The company in question have shown continual signs of growth and development across the last 10 years and are looking to grow the Business Partnering function. With excellent opportunities for progression and development on offer within the company, this is a position that will enable you to make an immediate impact concerning the Financial Business Partnering.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Building strong trusted relationships with business leaders, managing complex priorities, and providing financial guidance to support the delivery of the company vision
  • Using solid financial knowledge and business insight to interpret data, draw conclusions, provide insights and make proactive recommendations that deliver outstanding results
  • Supporting the leadership team, their products and functions in the preparation of the annual budget and periodic forecasts ensuring appropriate challenge in establishing stretch but achievable targets
  • Ensuring appropriate, forward looking decision support is provided to stakeholders, alongside championing change and efficiency, as well as identifying areas for improvement in a proactive manner
  • Staying informed of relevant industry and market intel for all products and jurisdictions to assess and report on current market trends and identifying opportunities that can be developed
  • Developing and implementing opportunities for operational efficiencies using analytical insight and work with the Finance peers on projects
  • Enhancing the management reporting suite, and overseeing management, mentoring and development of staff members

What you will need to Apply

Candidates for this role will need to have past experience of business partnering, ideally within a large, complex organisation. whereupon multiple priorities, business lines and regions were managed. Financial Planning and Analysis experience is essential, ideally in conjunction with a professional certification, such as ACA or CIMA qualifications. Strong accounting and reporting experience is required, alongside strong skills in Excel, intrapersonal communication at all levels, and active listening, showing the ability to adjust styles for various audiences. Past people management experience is also essential due to the senior nature of the role overall.
