Based across the UK and Europe, our support and development services make us a truly diverse organisation that offers a range of IT solutions to insurance brokers, insurers and managing general agents.
The main purpose of this position is test personal lines insurance lines of business and schemes via quotation software. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: raising work items, document creation, troubleshooting issues and insurer/client/team liaison.
Key responsibilities
* Testing of new and existing insurance schemes via our quotation software
* Testing of new and existing lines of business via our quotation software
* Raising work items from insurers and clients for our developers
* Using in house software to update insurance products
* Documentation creation
* Ensuring deadlines are met
* To attend meetings as required
* Working as part of a team, and liaising with other teams
* Communicating with clients both verbally and electronically
* Any other tasks as from time to time may be assigned by the Head of Technical Underwriting
* Ability to gain the proactive cooperation of other people within the organisation regardless of department
* Technical Underwriting - Ensure technical underwriting activities are carried out as planned between the various internal departments
* The training and mentoring of staff as from time to time may be required
* Knowledge and experience of the Personal Lines Insurance Industry or Software Testing
* Microsoft Office competency (Word, Excel)
* Must be computer literate. E.g. Microsoft Windows, Email
* Remote Desktop experience would be beneficial
* Any IT/technical knowledge such as SQL / VB.NET / General IT would be beneficial
