Defour Partnership on behalf of their client are recruiting for an Site Supervisor.
This is an exciting new post for a rapidly growing Independent Connection provider. The role will involve travel across to sites, with your main base being in Watford with competitive salary, company vehicle and benefits.
This role will suit a qualified Engineer (Electrical) ideally with experience in jointing work in a Supervisory role currently or who is looking for their next step into a supervisory role. It will involve Supervision and management of works, operatives and staff within Operations and working in conjunction with Support Teams; Finance, Business Development and Shared Services Teams.
Responsibilities will include:
* Complete estimating for projects as per agreed schedule of rates
* Ensure adequate transport and plant available for all necessary works
* Ensure site installations are carried out to standard expected by Company/Client/relevant regulations
* Ensure all quality audits and corrective actions are closed out on time
* Liaise with Client personnel and Local Authorities; attend all relevant meetings
* Set up site, folders, building warrants
* Monitor site, agree workload with site foreman on a daily/weekly basis and ensure fire stop register is up to date
* Monitor monthly hours report with site foreman and liaise with Client and contractors
* Agree shutdown date with Client, Local Authority and Site Manager; organise labour requirements and supervise
* Survey and programme jobs on a weekly basis
* Complete BOQs process accurately and cascade to team
* Attend weekly/monthly progress meetings with Project Manager
* Assist Project Manager on achieving higher or lower KPIs
* Manage resources to ensure maximum productivity is achieved in line with forecast
* Manage sub-contractors on site
* Sign off completed projects for quality
* Duties aligned with Financial and Cost Control
* Duties aligned with Procurement including ordering materials and stock management
* Duties relating to Health and Safety including risk assessments and audits in line with legislation
* Quality of Work of work audits
* Issue Inspection Points Program documents (IPP) and Inspection Testing Program Documents (ITP)
Skills and background required for the role:
* Previous background working in Electrical Engineering
* People Management
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Proven track record in successfully managing teams
* Good PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Ability to analyse data and recognise trends
* Good project management skills.Good health and safety knowledge and practices
