Job Details

Reporting to the HRIS/Payroll Manager, the role involves assisting the HRIS/Payroll Manager in all payroll, benefits and HR system related tasks. This role sits within the HR team, providing an effective and efficient delivery of payroll procedures and services to all staff.
To be a successful as a Payroll Assistant, you should have strong numeracy skills and be able to multitask effectively. Ultimately, an outstanding Payroll Assistant should be able to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities
• First point of contact for all employees for anything payroll or benefits related
• Enter payroll related data into payroll sheets for monthly submission, including overtime submissions and special allowances
• Ensure all entry of payroll data is submitted accurately and concisely • Input new starter details onto the HR system
• Carry out the Leaver process on the HR system and provide verified calculation of remaining balances
• Run basic reports from the HR system
• Ensure the payroll shared drive is kept in order and all relevant documents are kept in line with the process
• Update all relevant trackers on a regular basis
• Ensure all new pension auto-enrolled employees are input into the pension system
• Assist the HRIS/Payroll Manager with administering and processing employee benefits
• Ensure benefit data reports are sent to third party benefit providers in a timely manner and with the upmost accuracy
• Assist Line Manager with ad-hoc duties
• Support the wider HR team where necessary, as directed by management Requirements
• Previous or 1 year + (payroll) assistant/administrator experience
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
• Great knowledge of MS Office Suite, particularly excel and excel functions
• Excellent attention to detail
• Familiarity with HR and payroll software
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Ability to follow company policies
• Speed and accuracy are essential
• Capacity to keep track of numerous ongoing tasks
• Outstanding data entry skills
• Solid sense of integrity
