SEN Admin Assistant - Slough - September 2021 - Permanent Position
I am working with a growing school in the slough area who are looking for SEN Admin Assistants. The ideal candidate will be required to provide administrative support to the SEN department and the Resource Base. This is a permanent position starting in September 2021.
About the role:
Support the SENCO & Resource Base Manager in managing the process of assessment and testing for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
Support the SENCO & Resource Base Manager in managing all aspects of record keeping in relation to pupils' access arrangements.
The organisation and preparation for Annual Reviews and the preparation of EHCP requests.
Support the SENCO & Resource Base Manager in maintaining a high standard of record keeping for all pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
To produce accurate agendas and minutes from all meetings relating to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
Distributing regular information to staff, parents/carers, LA and external agencies.
To communicate on behalf of the SENCO & Resource Base Manager with parents of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
To support the SENCO & Resource Base Manager in maintaining timetables and rotas for teaching assistants.
To undertake other such reasonable tasks as directed by the SENCO and Resource Base Manager.The ideal candidate:
SEN administration experience
Experience with managing and administering EHCP support.
Experience contributing to the EHCP application process.
Experience working with external agencies in relation to student SEN support
Ability to communicate with parents/carers
Understanding of the importance of equal access to education.
Demonstrable work experience in a general office
environment including working within administrative procedures.
Excellent administration and communication skills both written and verbal.
Demonstrable experience of using Microsoft office, including Word, Excel, databases and IT packages
Knowledge of Every Child Matters and safeguarding procedures
The successful Secondary Music Teacher will have the following:
GCSE to level C in English and mathematics or equivalent (minimum)
Educated to degree level
Knowledge of SEN would be a desirable
Eligibility to work in the UK
Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
