Sue Ross Recruitment are working with an international manufacturing company in the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant to join their busy team. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks, ensuring financial records are updated as well as providing administrative assistance to the Finance department.

Responsibilities/ Essential Functions of Position:

* Input accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records

* Daily enter key data of financial transactions

* Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas

* All other duties as assigned

* Exercise excellent time management skills

* Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures

* Competency in MS Office

* Hands-on experience with spreadsheets

* Accuracy and attention to detail

Recommended Education:

* Minimum 5 GCSEs at A* - C (including Maths and English)

Beneficial Skills:

* 3 or more years' experience in a finance department, preferable in a manufacturing environment

* Good Excel skills

* Linguistic skills - German a distinct advantage but not essential

* Self-motivated and directed, with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

* Strong personal organisational and time management skills with attention to detail

Working Conditions:

* Working hours are generally 38.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

* Office based (currently hybrid working)
