My market-leading FMCG client are looking to bolster their experienced, agile and dynamic supply chain team. As such, they are looking for candidates with supply chain experience and strong system and analytical skills.
This is a fantastic Demand Planner opportunity to join a progressive, forward-thinking, people-orientated FMCG organisation. My client are a successful food manufacturing organisation based in the Peterborough area, supplying predominantly into retailers.
They have a very stable and secure proposition, and have demonstrated high-performance and resilience during the COVID19 pandemic.
As Demand Planner, you will have the following accountabilities;
Facilitates the creation of the Demand Plan in the S&OP Process; ensuring delivery of intelligence from other functions; brand, sales, category and supply
Maintain an accurate base forecast incorporating history, seasonality and customer ranging
Use customer website links to monitor EPOS (electronic point of sale), customer stocks, forward forecast and service levels to identify changes in demand and proactively responding to new data
Develop strong relationships and meet with retailer stock controllers / forecasters on an appropriately regular basis to create a collaborative plan. Challenge customer forecasts when necessary and review compliance of collaborative data against actual orders
Maintain the forecasting tool and overall forecast accuracy within agreed parameters
Ensure customer communication is accurate, timely and action orientated
Facilitate and support monthly Demand Process in line with S&OP
Track events (new listings, promotions, NPD (new product development), distribution changes, competitor NPD/activity etc.) to develop insight for forecast change
Maintain strong close relationships with internal customers so communication continues informally between S&OP cycle meetings in order that the earliest warning can be given for any change to forecastProfile
The ideal candidate will have experience within a fast-paced supply chain environment. You will have an understanding of various systems Inc. Excel and the opportunity to be involved in a brand new system implementation!

Exposure to an FMCG manufacturing environment would be advantageous but not essential.
The successful candidate for this Demand Planner role will be offered c. £25,000 - £30,000 (potential flex for a superstar!). In addition, my client are offering 34 days holiday (Inc. stats), annual bonus and up to 10% matched pension contribution.
