Strategy Education is recruiting for a Qualified Food Technology Teacher for an Alternative Provision based in Southend on Sea.
You will be teaching Food Technology to KS3 and KS4 pupils in very small groups of no more than 6 pupils with an experienced Food Tech assistant.
All the students at the school have an EHCP so you will need to have a flexible approach to teaching and have the ability to differentiate the work according to each student's ability.
With your experience in Behaviour Management / SEN / SEMH/ ADHD/Autism you could help young people reach their full potential and you will be working with a very supportive leadership team.
You will need to be a reflective practitioner with -
Excellent knowledge of your specialist subject.
Some knowledge about a range of interventions and their impact on meeting the needs of children with an EHCP.
Proven abilities in supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
The ability to help deliver creative and innovative lessons to engage the most reluctant of learners.
Teacher with QTS or QTLS
The ability to teacher Food Tech up to GCSE
Experience of working with Key Stage 3 and 4 students
