Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a large public sector organisation based in Manchester who are looking to recruit an Finance Business Partner . The role will initially be for 6 months but there is a strong possibility of an extension.

  • To lead the budget setting process regarding expenditure within the divisions ensuring that these are produced in line with the business planning timescales
  • To contribute to the production of the annual accounts, where appropriate
  • Responsible for the design and maintenance of appropriate budgetary control systems that are sensitive to the needs of the organisation
  • Responsible for the production and distribution of budgetary control reports and information using the finance systems
  • To produce, use and present data using different methods for example using complex spreadsheets, pivot tables and graphs to assist and meet the needs of different users
  • Account for, report & advise on all material variances & their consequences in conjunction with general and service managers
  • Advise the ADOF on financial risks within the division, ensuring appropriate recording, management & review of any identified risks
  • Ensure budget holders have robust recovery plans where potential overspends are identified and assist in their production
  • Provide financial advice & support to Executive Directors, Director of Service Delivery, General Managers, & their teams
  • To support the production of the monthly monitoring returns of the organisation, required by NHSI
  • Ensure that the clinical management accounting processes and procedures, including standard reporting formats, are regularly reviewed & any amendments are agreed with & communicated to stakeholders
  • Ensure that policies and guidance issued by the Department of Health and NHSI, are appropriately applied. This will involve interpretation of the policy and guidance, contact with the external organisation and making judgements on how to apply the legislation to specific specialist issues within finance

  • Strong with systems - including MS Excel
