Our client is a well-established market-leading global manufacturer of mobility aids with a range of technical products that offer both support and independence.
This is an opportunity to join their Marketing team based at their Head Office in Brierley Hill (DY5).
As Product Specialist you will take cradle to grave responsibility for the UK market of a critical product line, working with the European team to drive product development and specification through to downstream marketing and taking all UK products to market.
Role Overview -
Accountable for categories financial performance
Managing the new product introduction process throughout the lifecycle of the product; from ideas conception, to launch, review and discontinuation.
Gathering customer and market requirements, evaluating ROI and developing viable products / changes into technical specifications to be realised by R&D
Identifying key market or customer opportunities and translating them into viable commercial ventures with clear objectives, and deliverables
Analysing monthly sales data to deliver sales trend, growth and profitability reports to the VP of commercial operations
Day to day key responsibilities -
Adapting EU launch packages to suit the UK Market, including development of commercial messaging and overseeing and guiding creation of the marketing communications package
Identify product and channel growth opportunities for the product segment and implement marketing and sales strategy with agreement from the Marketing Manager
Support developing sales messaging and strategy of new products
Create sales and technical training presentation in conjunction with Marketing Manager and Commercial Director
Conducting and leading training sessions (sales & technical) with customers at HQ and around the UK to support introduction of new products & growth within current products
Exploring and feedback opportunity for growth in existing product segments and/or with development of new products to Commercial Director, Product Management and R&D
Gathering market competitor information, creating benchmarking and sharing findings with Sales team and Product Management
Providing technical support to key customers and correcting issue either by returning products to HQ or field visits
Support on events around the UK either presenting or on stand support for customers / end users
Candidates will be graduate level in Marketing or similar, goal oriented with the ability to build key relationships with internal and external customers.
Please note - although the role is based near Birmingham in the Black Country there will be a fair amount of travelling as you will be attending nationwide product launches and you will be away from home on average 2 or 3 nights per week if you want to be at home in your own bed every night then this role is not for you.
