Our client is a leading UK utilities company that is going through an exciting change as they expand the usage of ERP and CRM throughout their organisation. At the same time they are also managing their transition to a new unified communication system, an Azure cloud platform and Enterprise data lake.
The number and variety of changes that our client is going through offers an enterprising and capable Project Manager the unique opportunity to step into an existing IT department of just over 100 and take charge of, and responsibility for an extraordinarily broad range of projects.
In this role you will be given considerable end-to-end autonomy over the management of your projects, from planning all the way through to execution. Should problems or roadblocks arise, you wont have to look to anyone else for approval to act. Instead, youll have the green light to take a hands-on approach to the situation, find and implement obstacle overturns and ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Youll have the opportunity to exercise and develop your stakeholder management skills as you work with a number of subsidiary and client organisations on multiple projects. Youll coordinate between various stakeholders, external suppliers and contractors, technical leads and business unit heads to ensure that priorities are set, targets are clear and everyone is fully informed at all times.
Youll have a track record of end-to-end project management from inception to transition and closure, including not only of project planning but also day-to-day project management, independent troubleshooting or problem solving and budget management. You will have demonstrated the ability to manage mid-stream changes to project budget, scope or schedule, ensuring projects hit modified or adjusted targets.
