Westray Recruitment Group is seeking a Time Served Maintenance Technician's to commence working on a continental shift pattern for our client based in Gateshead. The role centres on a continental shift pattern working either day or night shift with start times of 6am and 6pm respectfully.
The organisation is going through a strong period of growth and it is an exciting time to join the business. The company is installing new lines and machinery in order to cope with demand and it has a very healthy order book.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE?
To ensure area and equipment is run in a safe and efficient manner meeting agreed product specifications and production targets by carrying out line change, planned maintenance, timely repair of breakdowns, continuous improvement activities including identifying problem areas then engineering out the cause.
To communicate at all levels and set and maintain high standards of performance
To ensure equipment is set up ready for shift start, product Change, performs at required output and ensure lines are shut down correctly
Work to reduce downtime.
Consistent reporting of all activities including breakdown repair
Being proactive on ways to improve machines or process.
Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure machinery is in good state of repair. Effectively planning optimum time available when equipment is not in use
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
Time served Maintenance Technician
Ability to work within a fast paced, high volume production environment
Working with both planned and reactive maintenance
WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLE?
This is a permanent role with a 6-month probation period. The roles centres on a version of continental shifts aimed at working less weekends. The hours of work are 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am rotating.
WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVING
The role pays £27K per annum.
