An exciting opportunity has arisen to create Activity Support Worker posts until 31 March 2022. This opportunity can be undertaken as a secondment for existing NHS employees or fixed term for external applicants.
The post holder will deliver and facilitate meaningful activity for inpatients within the learning disability wards at Strathmartine Hospital on an individual or group basis, within the hospital setting and in the community. The post holder will work to support high quality care that recognises the importance of everyday meaningful interaction or engagement has on individual health and wellbeing.
The Activity Support Worker will actively work to enhance person-centred care within the clinical areas, supporting ongoing developing practice within NHS Tayside in line with national guidance and local policy, e.g., Improving Observation Practice.
The post holder will receive clinical supervision from an AHP in addition to facilitated Action Learning.

Hours of work are: A range of shifts between the hours of 0800- 2200
37.5hrs per week over 7days x 3
Fixed Term/ Secondment until 31.03.2022
