As a Skills Enhancement Tutor, you will support the 2 year MSc Pharmaceutical and Analytical Science course, along with contributions to MSc Drug Design and Biomedical Science and to skills development in other relevant areas of the BSc Biomedical Science and BSc Biological Science routes. The role will provide additional capacity in relation to the development of industry-aligned skills for the students on the above courses.
You will organise, co-ordinate, deliver and assess on relevant programmes offered across the subject area, undertaking appropriate administrative tasks relevant to the post; this may include work associated with examinations, assessment and tutoring. You will ensure that content, methods of delivery and learning materials will meet the defined learning outcomes and assess the work and progress of students by reference to defined criteria and provide constructive feedback to our students.Who are we looking for?
You will have a post graduate degree in a relevant subject and be willing to work towards a teaching qualification, if you do not already possess one. You will have recent experience of working in an applied setting with the knowledge required to teach and support students in the acquisition of practical skills relevant to the subject matter. You will be able to demonstrate Edinburgh Napiers values of being Inclusive, Innovative, Ambitious and Professional along with the ability to use IT and relevant software packages to support teaching and learning.
