London Based Asset Manager are looking for an Application Support Analyst, this firm is a Windows House, you will have good working knowledge of the Wintel platform / Microsoft stack, Powershell (Scripting), SQL Server (Inserts, Select Statements etc) and some legacy Batch orchestrating and automation - This role is within financial services line-of-business applications highly desirable, e.g. applications for trading, fund accounting, market data, portfolio management, performance analytics, job scheduling / batch processing etc. This is a Production Support role Powershell (scripting), SQL (select statements, inserts, etc) and Curious minded - root cause analysis, and automation of legacy Batch processing. The IT team, based in London, is responsible for the design, build and maintenance of the firms IT Infrastructure Platform, Business Application Suite, and provision of IT support for all users. The team covers Support & Infrastructure (including Database & Application Support). The majority of IT services are hosted in-house with minimal reliance on vendors, so the roles cover most typical IT disciplines, across the full enterprise MS technology stack. A strong work ethic and commitment to the team is essential, as responsive out-of-hours support is expected as well as rotating weekend work for routine maintenance, installations etc. 1st/2nd Line Business Application & IT Support Application Administration / Maintenance and IT Project work. You will cover the IT support desk, answering support calls by phone, email and in person, focussing on support for all line-of-business applications. Follow the incident management process, logging new incidents in the ITSM system and following these through to conclusion, escalating with IT colleagues as required. Complete scheduled checklists, according to instructions, ensuring that checks are completed accurately and consistently. Complete project work as assigned by the line manager, to be undertaken around business-as-usual support duties, according to the team project schedule. Project work will generally involve application upgrades, deployment of new applications, improvements to existing processes / automation etc. Implement IT changes according to the Change Management policy, following the CM process and exercising due diligence at all times.
