Its magazines and other information publications, together with its range of conferences, seminars and digital professional training, are widely used by schools, care homes, charities, Early Years settings and dentists, among others.

Head of Conference Production and Content

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Head of Conference Production, Senior Conference Producer or Head of Content looking for the next step in their career. Responsible for leading the production team on a broad portfolio of products, including online and face-to-face conferences and training courses. You'll be responsible for the overall strategy of the events team, as well as working on your own portfolio of products, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

Key responsibilities
  • Responsibility for forward planning of the events and product schedule to ensure that company targets and KPIs are met
  • Overseeing a team of conference and content producers to ensure that projects are delivered on time to a high quality
  • Lead by example and produce your own portfolio of successful conferences and online courses
  • Work in partnership with the senior events manager to ensure that all operational elements are delivered in accordance with the needs of the production team
  • Constantly update your knowledge on our key markets to ensure that you are able to identify new trends
  • Reviewing and looking for opportunities in new markets to expand our portfolio
  • To work alongside the marketing team to ensure that all conferences and online training are effectively marketed
  • Brief delegates sales teams on new events and targets
  • Work with the sponsorship team to maximise revenue
  • Work on key projects aimed at increasing our digital subscription portfolio
  • Ensure our online products are kept up-to-date with the latest guidance and legislation
  • Ensure that the conference production team remain within budget for events, courses and projects


The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years' experience in conference production
  • A strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage and control their own budgets
  • Excellent leadership skills, but with the ability to be hands on
  • The ability to work on multiple projects at once, across different sectors
  • Strong project management skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm - must find the work interesting, enjoy being accountable and willing to hold others accountable.
