About this role

This is an important and exciting role within the organisation as the successful candidate will be responsible for a number of key functions.

You'll be joining our small assessment team, and will be responsible for the marking of our management learners' assignments and coursework in line with ILM standards. You'll be their first-line point of contact too, providing them with pro-active and insightful help and support for the duration of their qualifications.

The role also incorporates a quality assurance aspect, with responsibility for planning and preparing regular internal quality assurance activities.

The role is mainly home-based with some flexibility around hours.

About being a part of our team

We're a small, friendly team who largely work remotely from home with an office in St Albans for weekly Monday-morning team meetings. You'll need to be very organised, articulate and reliable with a keen desire to provide a high-level of cooperation within a small but growing team. You'll need to be professional, assertive, friendly and motivated by helping the company to provide great service efficiently and consistently. You'll instantly be an important part of the team and critical to our success and growth.

You will need to be able to display good core skills in English and maths as well as rudimentary computer skills (we use MS Office and Salesforce to run our systems).


· Assessing learners' written assignments in line with standards set by the ILM

· Providing friendly and insightful support and feedback on learners' assignments

· Completing all associated administration relating to the qualifications

· Liaising with the Lead Assessor to complete monthly Standardisation activities

· Responding to queries arising from weekly 'coaching' e-mails sent to learners

Prospects for the future

There's a great potential for this role to develop in many ways for the right individual, with the possibility of taking on different responsibilities within the business, including (but not limited to); training delivery and account management/ business development, as well as making this role more senior.

Remuneration and terms

The role is offered on a full-time basis although a part-time option of no less than the equivalent of four days a week could be considered for the right candidate. There will be a three-month probationary period.

Salary will be dependent on skill and experience levels and would be pro-rated for part time hours.

Basic salary: £26,000 - £28,000 pa

Holiday: 25 days pa plus all bank holidays and a fully paid half day every third Friday
