What does an Operations Manager do at Busuu?We are looking for a born organiser who can really plan ahead, is switched on, professional and personable, with a friendly approach. You should be used to keeping several steps ahead of everyone and willing to take on responsibility as well as the more mundane tasks.

Working in a fast paced, energised environment, our bar is set high, and an ability to build long lasting partnerships both internally and externally is vital.

This role will be responsible for managing both the operations process, embracing design, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy.

Key Responsibilities For The Role Include
  • Reporting into the Senior EA to provide admin support as required
  • Leading the implementation and management of hybrid working model (office set up/equipment etc)
  • Implement and manage hybrid on-boarding and off-boarding process
  • Managing on-boarding process for new starters
  • Improve, manage and facilitate the entire on-boarding logistics (equipment) for new starters
  • Manage all Office tools and access
  • Managing company travel and accommodation arrangements
  • Oversee office management across locations
  • Manage opening of new office locations/hubs
  • On site management of London Office
  • Planning and organising company events
  • Managing benefits across the company (in all locations)
  • Continuous improvement of operations processes
  • Controlling and planning resources
  • Managing expenses
  • Owning and planning office budget
  • Oversee budgeting, reporting and planning
  • Producing reports and presentations
  • Supporting HR with operational processes
  • Manage and support on employee relocation
  • Implementing and managing well being initiatives (physically and mentally)
  • Manage health and safety protocols across our office locations
  • Develop and implement internship/work experience programs for Busuu

Required Skills
  • You will have at least 2+ years experience as an Operations Manager
  • You will have experience of working in a fast-growth tech scale-up
  • You should have a willingness to help out wherever and whenever required
  • Integrity, trust and discretion as you may be dealing with confidential and sensitive matters
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • IT literate and proficient with Mac
  • Attention to detail
  • Methodical and able to work under pressure
  • You should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once and prioritise these tasks
  • Efficient, flexible and self-motivated
  • Proactive - you should always be thinking one step ahead (day, week, or month!)
  • Good written skills
  • Good sense of humour
