Cloud Technical Architect with experience in cloud-based solutions and cloud technologies to join our experienced cross-disciplinary department. (We're also Cloud Infrastructure Engineers and Data Engineers).

The successful candidate will be involved in technology selection, API design, and establishing core patterns within one of our client projects. You will be considering functional and non-functional requirements to inform these decisions and support the development team in implementing them.

This is not a role for someone who doesn't love development. Our technical architects would be expected to prove solutions and contribute to the development team, as well as peer review code. At the same time, you need to be a great communicator the role will include direct interaction with our clients, who include both technical and non-technical colleagues.

The Cloud is evolving quickly, and we keep our knowledge fresh by continually looking for fresh technologies and sharing what we've learned. As an architect you would be expected to exemplify this.

We need you to be really great at
  • Developing, with experience, and familiarity with complex enterprise software
  • One or more additional language (JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Python, Ruby).
  • understanding of traditional Design Patterns and the ability to design solutions based on them.
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one cloud platform (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure), including an understanding of appropriate technologies for a given use case.
  • Applying DevOps principles.
  • Test-Driven development.
  • Written, spoken and diagrammatic communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and abstract principles.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code languages (e.g. Cloudformation, Terraform).

  • Maintain CI/CD, Jenkins pipelines & Github Actions
  • Contribute to Open Source projects
  • Data Engineering.
  • Diagrams-as-code.
