Company DescriptionHome Instead is the world's leading provider of non-medical companionship based care in the community and has over 160+ offices nationwide. The Welwyn & Hatfield office is now looking to recruit additional people to join our fabulous team of CAREGiver's who look after our older client's in their own homes within their community.

Home Instead prides itself on our fantastic team of CAREGivers, and they truly give their all to their clients, working within their own communities ensuring that the people who need support and assistance get the very best level of service possible.

There really is no rush with us, all of our client visits are for a minimum of one hour, so the CAREGivers have the opportunity to really support the client and develop a lasting relationship with the people they work with.

We look after people who reside in the following locations : Borehamwood, Brookmans Park, Hatfield, Potters Bar, Welham Green, Welwyn and Welwyn Garden City and surrounding villages, and are looking to recruit part-time staff who can travel within these area's.

It is essential that you have your own 'car', this is because we work in the community and travel between people's homes, and are not just travelling to one destination daily - This is non-negotiable.Job DescriptionWe are seeking people to join our incredible team of Evening & Weekend Caregivers and want to hear from people who can work five evenings per week, to include alternate weekend working.

The role would suit people with time on their hands, perhaps the early retired who are keen to earn an additional income, or parents who would like to add to the family finances, or indeed anyone who has the free time available.

We are happy to fully train you if you have no previous experience by offering you a mixture of e-learning and in-house workshops that will give you a number of new transferable skills that will benefit your knowledge base and also your future career.

We are seeking people who will not shy away from the responsibility of supporting and assisting the elderly in our community and are seeking new team members who can demonstrate a great attitude and an abundance of common sense.

We offer individual care plans that incorporate a mixture of the following:

  • Home Help Care
  • Companionship Care
  • Dementia Care
Each client has individual needs and we are seeking adaptable and empathetic CAREGivers who understands this and who are willing to provide the support needed to make life better for our clients.

QualificationsA willingness to learn, understand and work with the older person in your local community.

A car is essential

Great verbal communication skills.

If you have these then we will train you to award winning status and continue this training throughout your career with Home Instead.

Additional Information

All of our positions are part-time and we like our CAREGivers to have flexible working patterns that will require some evenings and shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate week-ends. Tell us what you would like to do and we will try to work with you where we can.

All positions are subject to four references and successful DBS clearance.

All positions require the CAREGiver to have their own transport.You will be expected to work in multiple locations on a daily basis.Job offers are subject to successful completion of assessments.
