What We DoWe are a full-service creative digital agency. Our people, technology and insights help global media and entertainment, sports and lifestyle brands create, manage, localise, distribute and place their content, and evaluate its media reach.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR YOUWe are seeking a Digital Cinema Technical Operator to work within our Digital Cinema production department specialising in the localisation of film trailers for global distribution. The role will utilize your existing Digital Cinema localisation and DCP encoding experience to produce content for these global trailer launches.

THE ROLEIn this role your typical tasks will include;
  • DCP encoding and mastering for global trailer launches
  • Localisation of content - graphics insertion, subtitling and dubbed audio layback
  • Encoding and transcoding of files to various broadcast and online formats
  • Editing of cutdowns for social media and online
  • Uploading/downloading of content to/from various bespoke Digital Asset Management systems

You will be working on a rota pattern that includes varying shift start times including early starts and night shifts. You must be prepared to, and be able to accommodate, this shift-work. Given the nature of this work we will also need you have some flexibility with your work schedule in working around the trailer launch timings set by the film studios.

Requirements
  • Circa 2 years' Digital Cinema production experience
  • Experience of working on deadline-driven studio trailer launches
  • Good technical knowledge of DCP mastering workflows
  • Experience of utilising high end DCP encoders
  • Short-form localisation experience
  • Editing of cutdowns for social media and online
  • Encoding and transcoding experience of files for broadcast and online
This is a fast-paced environment where you are often required to manage conflicting client demands and delivery on a tight turnaround with no margin for error. Thus, we are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following attributes

  • Is proactive in helping ensure the team deliver, will always come forward to help when the team is busy and will go that extra mile.
  • Can think on their feet and can demonstrate good problem-solving ability, there will be times on shift where you will need to work independently and make decisions for yourself.
  • Seeks to understand the bigger picture and how their role fits within the wider context of our business.
