UL is creating one of the world's most complex online product and information centres, making billions of products, documents, and references available to multiple types of users and as our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for a Software Development Team Lead with a focus on overall solution design and delivery of enterprise-wide, multi-channel solutions that directly align with the needs of UL's customers.

What you'll learn & achieve:

•Lead the development and testing of a UL enterprise-wide product leveraging Azure services to support our mission by employing techniques such as TDD and Pair programming etc.

•Collaborate with various global teams including Data Science, Architecture & Product to understand, design, validate and coordinate solutions from a technical perspective

•Define project requirements by identifying milestones, forming project teams, establishing budget, developing schedules, assigning, prioritising and monitoring work, implementing productivity standards, and resolving operations problems.

•Monitor project progress by tracking activity, resolving problems, publishing progress reports, and recommending actions.

•Improve system performance by investigating problems, developing specifications, identifying trends in technology, and recommending solutions.

•Manage the performance of direct/indirect reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and followed.

•Work closely with Microsoft to provide best of breed technology solutions for our customers

•Access to Pluralsight and various other training resources (eg: UL University) to continue your personal developments

What makes you a great fit:

•You'll already have some great experience leading software projects and development teams in an agile environment.

•You'll have expert knowledge in enterprise application using Microsoft based tools & frameworks such as .NET/Core, C#, ASP MVC, Entity Framework, SQL Server

•You will be familiar with platform services available on Azure and skilled working with APIs, Microservices and Service Oriented Architecture,

•Experience with Test Driven Development

•Experience in working with large companies that have complex and large data solutions (or similar) and previous experience with ETL

•A good grasp of software engineering best practice and familiar with Kanban/Scrum methodologies

•An active coach and mentor whose goals are to grow and maximise the team's potential
