Role: Senior Cyber Security Analyst

Location: Worcester (Flexible Working/Remote)

Salary: Negotiable (Dependent on Experience)

Job Type: Permanent

Chapman Tate have partnered up with a MSSP that pride themselves in delivering tailor made service across the board of Cyber Security. My client is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst.

You will join a dynamic team, where you will be influential in using your analytical skills to define risks, identify potential threats and develop action/mitigation plans. Having experience in information security and a SOC based environment will be beneficial. Your

  • Investigate potential incident and execute active response actions
  • Assist in incident remediation and prevention documentation and plans where required and be able to execute in an effective manner
  • Provide technical lead support to enterprise level clients
  • Ensure SLAs for enterprise clients are met with recommended actions being of an acceptable standard, with possible mitigation actions to be executed efficiently and at an advanced level
  • Research, analyse and identify potential vulnerabilities and emerging threats, with the goal of creating detect & response rules to assist in visibility and response capabilities
  • Initiate escalation procedure to counteract potential threats/vulnerabilities
  • Conduct security and network impact reviews for clients

Skills & Experience
  • Experience around Information Security or SOC
  • Knowledge and experience with multiple log sources (Firewall, Proxy, Windows Event Logs, Office 365 activity etc)
  • Working knowledge of Log Management, SIEM & EDR technology (e.g., Azure Sentinel, AlienVault, MS CloudApp Security, Carbon Black, MS Defender for Endpoint)
  • Good interpersonal skills and being able to talk effectively with client teams
  • Security technology certifications (e.g. SANS (GCIA, GCIH, GSEC) - Desirable but not essential
