Maths Graduate - Teaching Assistant

Are you an outstanding Maths Graduate? Are you keen to explore further ambitions to teach Maths and would you like to teach Maths to secondary students in a school environment?

The school has state-of-the-art facilities and the highest performing Mathematics team in the borough of Newham, they are looking to build on this success by adding high-quality Maths Graduates to their team to help students studying Maths.

As a Maths Graduate, you'll work with students on challenging areas of the curriculum, revision and exam techniques. You will be supporting mixed abilities students who are studying for GCSEs. Your role will be to support teachers in class, you will also be given the opportunity to teach smaller groups independently and work 1:1 with students.

You must have an excellent academic background to draw upon to help stretch the most gifted pupils, to achieve the best results possible.

This position is available for a one academic year (September through to July) and there may be further opportunity to work additional days in holiday periods. Pending a successful year as a Maths Graduate, the school can enrol you to train as a fully qualified Maths Teacher via Schools Direct Initial Teacher Training.
