Your role as Data Warehouse Engineer is to be responsible for understanding and maintaining a reporting solution to meet the needs of the PCSE contract. You will have an in-depth understanding of data warehouses, BI tools with the ability to translate complex requirements into a high performing solution for internal and external stakeholders. Core skills required are high level of SQL of one of commercial versions available.

About the role:

Your role as Data Warehouse Engineer is to be responsible for understanding and maintaining a reporting solution to meet the needs of the PCSE contract. You will have an in-depth understanding of data warehouses, BI tools with the ability to translate complex requirements into a high performing solution for internal and external stakeholders. Core skills required are high level of SQL of one of commercial versions available.

What you'll be doing:
  • Monitoring & maintenance of ETL and DWH jobs
  • Provide strategic and tactical guidance with respect to data warehousing best practices and attention to quality documentation.
  • Manage both internal and external resources, timelines, and milestones across a vertical set of industries.
  • Responsible for understanding, maintaining and updating detailed data warehouse models and data mappings.
  • Understand and maintain various ETL processes and API connections
  • Define meta data standards for the data warehouse
  • Great SQL skills both to write and amend SQL scripts with stored procs
  • SSRS and SSIS knowledge
  • Exposure to Power BI
  • Perform performance optimization and tuning on new and/or existing data warehouse implementations.
  • Provide detailed documentation, end user training and knowledge-transfer services to customers.
